อ่าวมะนาว
บริเวณอ่าวมะนาวมีทิวทัศน์สวยงาม ประชาชนทั่วไปสามารถเข้าไปพักผ่อนหย่อนใจได้ อยู่ในเขตกองบิน 5 กองทัพอากาศ เป็นหาดสะอาด ธรรมชาติสวยงามเหมาะแก่การเล่นน้ำตรงข้ามกับหาดเป็นเขาล้อมหมวก ยามน้ำลดจะปรากฏสันทรายทอดยาวให้เดินไปเที่ยวชมได้บนยอดเขาล้อมหมวกประดิษฐานพระพุทธบาทจำลอง เชิงเขามีศาลเจ้าพ่อเขาล้อมหมวกและเป็นที่ตั้งของเขตอนุรักษ์พันธุ์ค่างแว่น อ่าวมะนาวเคยเป็นยุทธภูมิในสมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ระหว่างกองทัพไทยและกองทัพญี่ปุ่น ปัจจุบันภายในกองบินจะเห็นอนุสาวรีย์วีรชนรูปทหารอากาศในชุดนักบินยืนอยู่บนใบพัดเครื่องบินถือธงหันหน้าออกทะเล
Ao Manao
It came from the Thai words meaning Lime Bay. It’s one of a kind, amazingly beautiful white sand public beach and its beautiful natural scenery. Anyone can enjoy doing something for recreation, especially it’s a ideal place for swimming. At low tide, the sand is completely exposed – sandbar stretching along the shore where you can stroll. Lime Bay is located in The Fifth Aviation Regiment, Thai Air Force. At the far south end of the bay is the mountain called Kao Lom Muak, separating between Ao Manao and Ao Prachuab. After reaching the top of the mountain you will see a replica of the Buddha’s footprint. Yet on the hillside there is a holy place; wildlife sanctuary set up, a protected area for languors. Ao Manao used to be a battlefield in World War II between Thai troops and Japanese troops. Nowadays inside the Air Force Base, you will see a warrior monument with an airman at the aircraft propeller noticeably carrying a flag facing toward the bay.
